Affordable bespoke web solutions that work

A small sample of our work

Click4Garden

This new business wanted the ability to sell their own and other suppliers/manufacturers products solely online. Far more than an e-commerce site we built a multi-supplier solution that enables orders to be sent to the servicing supplier automatically.

Salop Leisure

Salop Leisure, one of the largest holiday home, caravan and motorhome businesses in the UK, needed to replace their old website with something more functional, contemporary and future-proof.

Shropshire Training Forum

The Shropshire Training Forum, an organisation responsible for ensuring that the 44 medical practices in Shropshire have access to and information about training courses and resources, asked Design Acuity to build them a web-based adminstration system that would not only help staff get much needed access to training but also empower the Practice Managers giving them practice management features and tools that were previously paper-based.

Copthorne Veterinary Practice

Copthorne Vets needed a website that would promote their two branches and their busy Fizzio Pets hydrotherapy centre.

Shadymoor B&B

Shadymoor B&B is the perfect guest-house for those just wanting to get away from it all. Its idyllic settings and remote location really have to be seen to be believed. Design Acuity built a high-quality website that gives visitors a taste of what they can expect from a stay at Shadymoor.

West Mercia Police Authority

As part of their drive to 'engage the community' the West Mercia Police Authority asked DesignAcuity to design & build a functional, informative website that would not only promote the Authority and its partners & stakeholders but recognise the diverse needs of the community in relation to policing matters. This was achieved by making the stakeholders and Authority divisional areas central to the website's structure.

Stockton Suffolks

After the successes John Sinnett's Stockton flock in 2005 he wanted a contemporary website to showcase his Suffolk sheep.

Telesmic Acoustic Sessions

This flourishing acoustic sessions group needed a central resource for keeping performing artists informed about past and future sessions as well as a resource for contacting other performers for other projects & collaborations. Members can log in and see additional content and contact information not available to the general public. The site is updated after each session with reports, photos and audio/video by the site administrator.

Rushbury Parish Council

In order to keep costs down Rushbury Parish Council asked DesignAcuity to guide their aspiring webmaster in the design & construction of a living, breathing website that would serve all the members of the parish - and beyond! A simple template structure was devised which still allowed for a fair degree of dynamic presentation.

Dreamland Designs

Natasha Horton's thriving handmade card business urgently need a web presence and Design Acuity were delighted to oblige.

Winning Rosettes

This new-start business wanted to showcase its products and services online. Design Acuity designed both the website and brochure.

Megan Daley

Promising dressage rider and Great Britain Junior Dressage Team member, Megan Daley, needed to secure some serious sponsorship in order to help with the escalating costs involved with competing at a national and international level.   We created a website that detailed her achievements to date and her future aims but also explained the benefits of sponsorship to potential sponsors. Within a week of launching the site she had secured a household name sponsor.

Mary Lawson

Mary Lawson, a professional harpist based in Lancashire, needed a simple internet presence to reach potential customers across the country.

Grange Fencing

One of Shropshire's oldest established businesses, Grange Fencing, asked DesignAcuity to build them a functional, stylish site to act as an online brochure displaying their high-quality products. This fully searchable site also enables visitors to search for products, find their nearest stockist, build lists of products for their gardening projects and send queries direct to the sales teams.

Charika Creations

Charika Chummun asked us to create separate web presences for the wedding and non-wedding sides of her rapidly expanding bespoke greeting card and cake business. The websites needed to complement the high quality of her unique products whilst still being functional.

DesignAcuity were also able to continue the design onto Charika's business cards and complement slips and provide a digital photography service in order to complement her existing stock of product photos.

Jolly Roger Card Craft

This thriving & popular card craft shop in the centre of Shrewsbury, Shropshire decided to take a big step towards selling on-line by asking DesignAcuity to create an online shop-window. But they didn't want to stop there. With useful background info, directions, helpful tips and advice for card-making and full searchability their new website is set to become a hive of activity for both them and their ever-exanding customer base.

Merck Estates

Aptronym Ltd, a fresh & exciting web design company in the Midlands approached Design Acuity when they need additional web programming resource. Whilst we had no hand in the superb visual design we were totally responsible for every functional aspect of the site, from providing property account management, member registration, uploading of property images, providing property search functionality and integrating an hourly RSS weather feed from Spain!

Shrewsbury Honda Centre

Shropshire's largest authorised Honda motorcycle dealership needed to give its far-flung customers a virtual shop-window to allow them to check out the bikes before making a lengthy trip to the showroom. A bespoke content-management system designed specifically for their needs was created. Keeping their used-bike stock up-do-date is a doddle.

www.ShropshireLearners.co.uk

An exciting and informative website is required to woo customers in a market as competitive as Driving Instruction. The client required a site that could speak to both would-be learners and would-be instructors. Using Google's AdWords we were able to direct the target markets to the most appropriate pages on the site.

A. Parry's Half-Time Full-Time Scores

Game inventor A Parry designed and created an original and unique fund-raising game and needed a way of a) getting the game seen by the widest audience and b) showing how the game works.
Features of this simple site include a fund-raising revenue calculator.

Pearl Veterinary Group

This leading Shropshire veterinary practice wanted to reach and serve its customers with an informative, functional and entertaining website that would keep pace with the business's fast development & expansion.

Longmeadow Primary School

Early-adopter Longmeadow Primary School was one of the first primary schools in Shropshire to implement an intranet. Their forward-looking Head & staff took the next logical step and enlisted our help to create a website that would benefit the school, its pupils & staff, the parents and neighbouring schools.
Parents can be kept up-to-date online; Pupils can get homework help online; Even the weekly dinner menu is available!
**UPDATE** - OFSTED inspectors reported that "The school website is an outstanding feature..". The head noted that this was quite an accolade from an Ofsted Inspection team!

ShrewdMove

ShrewdMove wanted a smart, attention-grabbing website that would attract clients to their relocation & house-doctoring service.  As well as designing & building the site we were able to help promote the service using cost-effective online advertising tools.

"As a new web based business it was obviously of huge importance to us that our website was the best, both eyecatching and concise. I would say that without a doubt this has been achieved with the expertise and imagination of DesignAcuity. Their knowledge of the whole design aspect was second to none, but on top of that they offered the whole service efficiently and effectively. They in our view offered great value for money and made the whole process a very easy one." - L. Hinds & L. Moran, ShrewdMove

Suffolk Sheep Society

The Suffolk Sheep Society's original website had become hard to maintain. When approached we suggested a bespoke content-management system that would allow the Society to create and amend content without any technical know-how.
Content is stored on a server-side database which is backed up regularly. The site's design components are kept separate from the content - which, unlike HTML-only sites, means the site design can grow and evolve without the need to replicate or re-key the content.
